Mastering the Leadership Arc

by
Kathryn Maloney M.A. ABS

A consulting advisor to leaders, founders and teams, Kathryn weaves systems change vision and initiatives into strategy, priorities, and operating from outcomes. From her wheelhouse, she taps into how you communicate, relate, operate, work, lead, and group think; infuses presence, power, and self-awareness onto broad, prioritised organisation strategy; and designs tangible change for your more coherent, modern, and future-forward system.

By design, you are destined and deserving to act from your agency.

All victimhood programming is a distortion field you learned, absorbed, and unconsciously adopted. That distortion field unchecked becomes the fear body, and learns to drive your behavior. (Your ego structure likes to keep you in fear because this way it can maintain control over you.)

When you get clear about and clean up these phantom interior architectures, you can then build systems with far less unconscious, projected fear running in their backgrounds. The work is to interrupt the programming e.g. unconscious habit acting from your ego-based thinking mind, and begin the practice of accessing, designing, and acting from your agency.

Allow the Discomfort

Acting from your agency may feel foreign at first due to its counter-force against the more established control narrative. Vulnerable, scary, even dangerous are feelings to allow when they arise. They will reduce in size as you begin to work from your truth and in the energy of agency. Quite possibly, your agency might also feel inaccessible. That too is simply the program running. She's in there, and just needs an invitation — on repeat.

Pull Back Your Energy

Counterintuitively, confronting the "danger" you may feel means taking back what power you are actually giving away to unconscious control structures and energetics. Once you empower yourself (because nobody gives you your power) to stand in any imagined "danger", you immediately begin the deconstruction process of those perceived control structures. You free yourself and other(s) in the dynamic of fear, stasis, victimhood to choose to show up differently. You begin to realise how much power and agency you actually hold when you don't bleed it. Liberation and "empowerment" is this.

Engage Your Heart Mind

As an instrument of change in this way, you must use your heart mind, intuition, and soul body to steer. It is here in your heart mind, not your thinking mind, where your agency and truth reside. Your thinking mind is very good at falsehoods, so you want to stop taking instruction from that mind and move into the fuller heart mind.

When you begin to steer from your agency and truth, accepting you cannot control others and actual outcomes, but you are always free to operate from your integrity, truth, and agency, you learn to trust an alternative guidance structure. You begin to experience through tangible cues and evident behaviors how the right exchanges and outcomes inevitably emerge. Will that be exactly on your thinking mind's timing and ways? Not always. This is because the unrealised potential rarely looks like your ego mind perceives it. Usually a better, more aligned route shows up.

You shift to flow and facilitate in and from the field of change when in your heart mind. You begin to work with a far deeper knowingness of how your agency and power, interacting with the universal dance of systems and designing, truly works.

Master Your Leadership Arc

Your agency (which is very different than your selfishness and/or your empathy) resides and derives in your heart mind. Strategy and outcomes are results of collectives in their agency, working in alignment with their own and the system's heart mind, purposefully and intentionally.

Leadership is learning to trust, operate in, and master this arc.
