At first the situation, lens, or rhythm shifts.

Next, you are catapulted into a nebulous, maybe an uncomfortably numb, and yet often antithetically rich space.

At a certain point, a new beginning shows up, opens its door, and asks you to hop on.

And so, you begin anew.

It all begins with an end.

Ending - Neutral Zone - A Next Beginning

Designing Change

The opportunity you have in every moment is you design. You design your grief. You design your team. You design your response. You design your attachment. You design your reactions. You design your systems, rhythms, and cadences. You design your life.

What you may resist and grip is the anticipation of a next cycle of change.

And so, as a practice, you build muscle in —

  • pivoting out of what was (without wrecking balls, and instead with reasonable mechanisms to confront, share, and iterate.)

  • dialog, decisioning, and (re-) shaping.

  • remaining light on your feet and unattached to story, outcomes, fixed and assumed rules.

Adaptation Energy

In building and evolving this way, you are a net contributor to the adaptation energy of the world.

You don't wait for the world to stop doing its insanity. You train in the practices to remain out of and stop building victim consciousness. You abstain from waiting for the world (or whichever self-assigned godhead pulls your focus) to give you permission to use your full potential and authentic expression e.g. your power.

You make tough decisions led by your intuition, guiding purpose, grace, and strength. The whole of you, not parts or fragments. You lead others to do the same, with the intention to collectively build global fabrics and local networks of adaptation energy — in service of elevation and expansion out of chaos energy. You don't drain, bleed, or pull focus from since that depletes rather than contributes.

This is your power. Your ability, capacity, and demonstration of light over darkness. Your contribution to adaptation energy in your myriad spheres of influence every single day. Your ability to participate in moving the collective forward.

We gather our strength and come from our power (our differences, interconnectivity, and shared creative demand) as the ways to operate powerfully and live naturally in the expected cycles of change.

Endings and Beginnings

The cycles come regardless of how hard you consciously or unconsciously attempt to stem them off. Learning and practicing to relax into them, while feeling the emotion or grief that naturally accompanies, also builds your strength. It is this strength that regenerates your power center. That center enables you to operate powerfully and live naturally in the expected cycles of change.

All endings lead to new beginnings. Pivoting is the way life works.

Design accordingly.
