Reflecting Strategically
The Questions that Keep Strategy Moving
Strategy without reflection is a system running on what it inherited. The questions are how it reads itself.
A System Runs on What Nobody Names
A team that never stops to name its defaults runs on whatever the system handed it. The loop becomes the method. The method becomes the culture.
Prioritisation is yours. Holding the whole, as distinct from running the operating, is now a universal accountability. Nobody is delivering your strategy to you.
Strategy is the announcement that holds the whole, or it hardens into tasks.
Strategy is the most base commitment of a team that delivers. Your daily accountabilities tie directly to that logic.
Reflection Inside, Not Beside, the Work
Build the mechanism inside the workflow rather than beside it, so the design of the work carries the strategy through it.
Wire real-time reflection into the rhythm. Name what stays, what shifts, and what stops. Have the conversation now rather than at the review. Confirm out loud that you are still moving toward the same thing.
The frames of time have tightened. Daily accounting for where each project and each outcome sits is the discipline the pace now asks for. Meetings consume time. Broken communication consumes businesses.
AI now sits inside the work. The mechanics that carry strategy are being rebuilt with intelligence inside them, and what those mechanics run on decides what that intelligence produces.
Moving work through constant change is the rigor, and what elevates a system's reach.
You Are the Interference
Interrupt your own defaults. The complaining. The avoidance. The offense taken. The quiet superiority. Getting out of your own way is a practice.
Say your questions out loud, without fear of judgement. Communicate your thinking so the others in the room learn from it. Course-correct as a group, while the work is moving. Become an open and generative collective.
Ground the operating in discipline rather than performance.
Ask the Question. Then Ask Its Counter.

Inertia is the default. The defaults are unconscious. The questions are how you catch the loop before it becomes the culture.

No idea where this set of questions came from originally, but they are good ones. I switched a few things around but thank you to whomever packaged them!
