Succession planning isn’t merely a structure play as it has been so overly cast during these past 40 (-100) years of organisational life. Succession planning is in your day-to-day operating, leading, and being. You are modeling, teaching, exemplifying, and imprinting to serve evolving humans and an evolving system with every move you make, word you speak, and decision you take.
Your role is to deliver, sure. However, the higher octave calling is that you blaze a path for others to walk where they step into their selves, callings, voice, and power. Your job is to see them, not control or cast fear upon them. Your job is to rise them up in all the ways available — monetarily being simply one. Your job is to walk fully grounded in your leader and self shoes so can ably participate in the evolutionary designing you are privileged and called to be present to.
Designing succession is not optional. It is an evolutionary imperative you are here to bring forward, with grace and humility.
