Peter Senge popularised the idea of inquiry over advocacy in the early 90’s in The Fifth Discipline. The principle said simply is through inquiry you open up possibility thinking. When in possibility thinking, knowledge flows in its direction. Qualitative research and the scientific method build themselves on this principle. The creative process and Art rest on the shoulders of worthy inquiry. Natural law and the universal field is herself the call and response of worthy inquiry. She awaits, an open and willing super computer, through which to inquire, express, and process evolution.

Become an exceptional question asker. Learn to suspend judgment. Hear into, behind, and underneath the words. Open up critical thinking spaces that don’t position your ego at the center.

Advocate once you have enough sense, thought, knowledge, and usable information. Prior to then, make inquiry and stellar questions your backbone.
