Understand Who You Are
Identity isn’t fixed because you are by design constantly evolving, becoming, growing, and changing. Who you were when you were 17 is not who you are when you are 28, and not who you are now.
What the company was envisioned to be at inception is likely not what it is today. The vision has shifted, as it should. The team is constantly forming, disbanding, altering, and reforming.
The work is allowing the space to get to know identity at any given time. You re-meet yourselves, allowing for the changes to root in and become the you of today.
Strategy is about reviewing and revising the identity of the organisation.
Teams that stop and do the work rhythmically of becoming their current composition function with awareness, grounding, and far better focus – less noise. The ability to integrate newness, or put together already existing people and ideas who weren’t formerly identified together, is an evolutionary imperative.
Who are we? Who am I? What do we believe in? What do I believe in? Where are we going? What are we leaving behind? These are the questions to live into. These are the types of questions that build capacity to integrate into your being new ways and new thinking that aid evolution.
