Design Progress
Theeo Principle
№314
Don’t design suffering.
Design Progress
- Stress? Suffering.
- Time? Suffering.
- Busy-ness? Suffering.
- Mask? Suffering.
- Dishonesty? Suffering.
- Bad Meetings? Suffering.
- A poorly envisioned and articulated strategy? Suffering.
- Resisting change? Suffering.
You design your suffering. You call it to you through your overt and covert behavior. You beat the drum of your suffering with your words that cast spells in the direction of their intent.
If you run around saying “I’m so busy! I’m so busy! I’m so busy!” Guess what? You are designing more busy-ness.
Instead, design progress.
Identify what you don’t want to keep suffering from – the things you are creating and manifesting for yourself – and instead create and manifest what you do want.
Design your time to work for you rather than allowing it to take hold of you. Time is infinite. It's yours to maneuver.
Don’t like how you showed up to that conversation? Design the next one differently. Show up exactly as yourself and how you want to be present.
Feeling constant stress and anxiety? Design your environments. Add rituals, visuals, healthy light, sounds, and scents. Eat better foods at better hours. Drink more water.
Participating in pointless meetings too often? Stop attending them – or assume control over their flow with a far more thoughtful design.
Design progress because you have full agency and authority to do so.
Stop being the victim of your own designed suffering.
